With the covid-19 pandemic expanding rapidly on a global scale posing a serious threat to the health and life of people all over the world, tickmill contributed its part to tackling the virus by donating non-contact infrared thermometers to the Cyprus State Health Services Organisation (OKYPY).
Tickmill got in touch with the organisation to identify main areas of need and discuss possible ways of collaboration in the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic. Our company immediately responded to the organisation's call for much-needed medical supplies by donating a significant amount of thermometers.
Making temperature measurements in the new pandemic landscape calls for a system that allows workers in public health, retail sector, corporations, and government to perform and monitor precise and fast temperature checks at a safe distance. Therefore, we addressed this need by purchasing forehead thermometers that provide instant readings without any contact, hence strengthening safety conditions.
Tickmill Group CMO, Marilena Iakovou commented: “The COVID-19 pandemic marks an unprecedented time in our history and as a socially responsible firm we wanted to reinforce the effort of local authorities to prevent, detect and manage the novel coronavirus and give frontline health workers the resources they need to protect the most vulnerable.”
Charitable giving is more important than ever during this trying time. We are fortunate to be able to lend a helping hand and we hope this donation will benefit the community in many positive ways.
