I honestly cannot go along with all the bad reviews. Yes, topstep had a short period of server issues which now has been resolved. However they were very accommodating and cooperative. Trades that have been negatively affected by the outage were reimbursed while they allowed profitable trades to count toward your overall profits. Accounts that were breached during that time were reinstated or if not possible you were given free new accounts. Server issues can happen. Even to the best. And in my opinion they handled it well. I’ve taken multiple four figure payouts totaling well into 5 figures. Fast payout procedures. The longest I’ve personally waited were 2-3 days. Support is quick to respond and very helpful and professional. Plus topstep has the best and loosest rules in the market. Also their platform is super easy to navigate and user friendly. Copy trading is as simple as it gets.

Support is always quick to respond with any issues and solving them immediately. Topstep is the best place to be for futures traders . Been with them for years and trust the platform fully.

I had an issue where the website for me wouldnt load on my computer but could access it fine on my phone and macbook, but i prefer trading on the windows computer. Nhat from the support team was extremely helpful and was able to sort my issue basically right away.

Still no compensation. Lost over $300 worth of accounts because of their servers, and they have turned a blind eye to everything. DONT EVER USE TOPSTEP

The absolute faceplant downfall of Topstep needs to be studied! Slippage, laggy, trading platform has been down all day so far as of today after purchasing fresh combines. IM DONE with Topstep. No more! AVOID

I had a problem with my trade copier and account but Arturo and Kyle help me out and got my 5 account back. I know they been having a lot of problem but they have a lot of member. They also been in the industry for so long and they don't erase review.

These guys have gotten a ton of hate lately for issues with Project X going down, but they have been working around the clock & making things right & optimizing their platform. Personally, I haven’t had any issues with them. I had a hiccup with one of my subscriptions, & Nick G was able to help me out. Thank you guys & I'm looking forward to getting more payouts. 🔥🫡📈

I opened a ticket up with support about the December 16/17 outages and my mismatching leader/follower combine accounts.. they closed the ticket without getting back to me. I reopened another one regarding the same issue and if I was to be rebilled for these accounts. They informed me I will be recharged AND they've already compensated everyone for the outages. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. No support for their customers. How can you put your trust into a firm that doesn't care about you.. ONLY WHAT YOU PAY THEM.

I've been consistently making money from this firm for the past 8 months straight. Now they want to back me off and put me in a program that essentially shadow bans me from their platform. Feels like a casino backing me off telling me I can't play table games anymore. They do not like it when you keep making money in sim funded accounts. If you are going to make a gamified version of trading through challenges and rules and then get mad when those get exploited and your firm loses money, that's understandable. From my understanding I thought the goal was to find an edge. Well i found one lol and they dont like it. But for them to sit here and try and tell me it's because they want me to be a better trader LOL sure topstep suuuure. Not even to mention they force you to use a platform that goes down once a week conveniently when volume picks up and price makes a move. Moving on from this firm. At least they shadow banned me when I'm up thousands from them. I can live with that.

AWFUL. Worst prop I have expereinced and I have tried a ton. They screwed over thousands of traders right before Christmas last month. This is NOT a trustworthy "prop firm". My lawyer says its an illegal buisness

December 17 and 18 Topstep platform issues - resulted in big losses - topstep refused to assist trader even after CEO said he would make it right in January. I cannot recommend this firm to ANYONE - November had 9 issues - no recompense of any kind for traders - nothing! This firm puts their profit ahead of traders and takes advantage of the little guys - SHAME

2 day evaluation which should be 1 day then 5 profitable days just to get a payout every time I got kids, bro I need money when I make the money then on the evaluation days on red calendar days those be good wasted trades that I’ve missed and the money don’t even come to me. What happen to the other trading platforms to trade on like TradingView

a well managed fraud prop firm. do not trust them because they in market from 10 years. end of the day. all same. they will find reason how to close user account with any excuse. they close my account as i had -1500 loss limit still there. check screenshot. and it was close on 400 only. they remove -1500 from dashboard. but it was still showing in account. and they customer service suddenly act like innocent meanwhile they were in touch since one month,.

Multiple platform issues including login issues, copy trading being turned off without consent leading to loss in profit, lag, and dashboard being complicated and difficult. Not happy with this company...why in God's name was my copy trading turned off...this is so frustrating...

I was very upset with the outage from 12/17 and while it took a while to get restored they made it right reopening accounts and restoring balance. Mike K was a huge help during customer support process only person I felt truly took their time to make sure the investigation team at everything the needed.

Been trading prop for a number of years, new in the futures space though. Very clear that Topstep have an unmatched level of service and customer support. Special shout out to Porter who kept me updated in regards to my payout status and ensured the process was smooth. I was never in the dark about getting paid out, and that matters in this day and age. Service from topstep like i received from Porter, is what makes this a firm i would reccomend to everybody! Thanks guys

I had a very disappointing experience with Topstep. I traded one single funded account only, manually, with no copy trading, no automation, and no coordination with anyone else. I followed the rules and built a positive balance. I submitted my first-ever payout request for $1,795, which went through Funding approval and Risk approval and showed as processing. While my account still had balance and was not lost through trading, my account was suddenly locked and closed, and the payout was refused. After that, I received an email claiming a violation related to copy trading / Section 27, which I strongly deny. I have never had another account or traded with anyone else. No clear evidence or specific trades were provided to explain the decision. This was extremely discouraging, especially as it was my first payout after working hard to follow the rules. Having a payout approved and then denied afterward feels very unfair. I am sharing this so other traders are aware that even with one account and manual trading, payouts can still be denied with little explanation. - Banned from Discord and denied payout without clear explanation - No support, no payout, no transparency -Approved payout denied and banned for asking questions

This prop firm is awful. Traded with them for years (unprofitable) so just feeding them my money next minute when I start to make money out of them and take consistent payouts they say some bullshit about my account and ban me without nothing I can do after taking all my money for the past 2 years I get 4 payouts an they block me. Would not recommend going with this firm. Go to alpha futures.

My account was blown due to abnormal and unfair market behavior during the Thanksgiving market closure and reopen, not because of poor risk management or rule violations. I held a properly structured short on Gold (GC) with a defined entry, stop loss, and take profit, fully compliant with all account rules. At the time of the holiday close, the trade was valid and well within drawdown limits. When the market reopened, price instantly displaced with no normal liquidity, wicks, or volume structure, triggering a max loss violation in a way that would not occur during regular trading hours. Price moved toward my take-profit first, then reversed violently in a thin, distorted holiday market. There was no legitimate price discovery, no tradable structure, and no realistic opportunity for stops to function as intended. Yet the platform still enforced full drawdown penalties during a known period of illiquid, discontinuous trading. This was not a trading error — it was a platform and market-structure failure during a holiday reopen. Holding traders fully accountable under these conditions is unreasonable and does not reflect real, executable market behavior.
