They said they would make thing right in January for what happened a month ago and we are still waiting for any form of compensation. I have waited patiently for weeks but enough is enough. I see the Ceo tweeting on x telling us to contact support even though he cleary stated last month when he went on stream that the company would be compensating all traders in January and would look into the tilt and missed opportunities they caused for all of their traders. And they caused a lot of missed opportunities. Now the Ceo wants you to contact support for compensation, but when you do that, they say they need video evidence or it didnt happen and they will literally avoid questions or proof you show them that they dont like and say they will escalate with the level 2 team but the level 2 team never actually talks to you and they relay messages through the first support agent so it becomes the biggest hassle to communicate anything. I was a huge customer of bottom step, maybe spent $10k plus in 2025 and then something like this happens and they act like the shadiest firm out there. I dont think ill ever be able to business with them again

This prop firm is a nightmare. Constant glitches that aren’t addressed. CEO lying on their own YT channel. Greedy people who will silence you when you speak out. Keep away from them.

I’ve been a Topstep customer for over 3 years and overall I like the company, which is why this situation has been disappointing. After platform issues on ProjectX / TopstepX, I lost three XFAs. The CEO stated that traders should give the company time until January to make things right. It has now been over a month since the incident, and there is still no clear communication or compensation. I hope Topstep improves transparency and follows through on its commitments, as platform reliability and communication are critical for traders.

My experience overall was pretty devastating, No customer support. I was not able to trade for few days because of issue on their side and when it's time to pay they won't. A ship in harbor is safe, but that’s not what ships are built for,#valu𝐞 mining..#the voyage worth taking.

topstep has been my go to prop firm, customer support has been great answering all my questions. All my payouts have been received in 1-2 business days and project x executions have been top notch. I feel for them as the negative reviews have been over exaggerated and i see no problem, the negative reviews are written by gamblers who want to make quick easy money and if they were trading like they should they would see no problem aswell.

Too many outages with their platform TopstepX. Vague communication from their swindler of a CEO. Over a month without communication how customers will be compensated for the consistent outages. It affected thousands of trader’s accounts getting blown due to their inconsistent platform. Trader’s were filled wrongly and couldn’t get out of positions.

Had issues with 2 follower accounts being instantly lost while the leader was still able to be traded to passing. The manager Shay helped me immensely in this sense, and went above and beyond to assist me without any issues, got both accounts as XFA’s due to the issue. Absolutely love this prop firm and Shay handled the situation admirably. I usually never feel the need to leave reviews, but Shay has given me a change of heart.

Been a month since the outage and this week of Jan 8 to 16 2026 again Topstepx was lagging 2 days in a row. Buggy platform and it's the only choice you have. Either you don't get filled at entry or you get immediate stopout. F tst and move on. MP is semi retired

Had an eye opening experience with Nick G. He was able to have my questions answered in depth to an issue i thought i was having. Directed me to some Tutorials that would help me best use the TopStepX platform as well. 2 Thumbs up Great Customer Service

1/5 Platform launches the wrong account and calls it “working as intended” Topstep support confirmed that launching TopstepX from the Dashboard does not enforce which account is opened. A previously logged-in session can silently override the dashboard selection with no warning, no confirmation, and no safeguard. Their words: it’s the trader’s responsibility to notice and fix this after launch. This means you can click “Launch” on one account and be dropped into another — including closed or ineligible accounts — without realizing it. Support acknowledged this behavior and stated it is working as intended, not a bug. In a prop trading platform, failing to align dashboard selection with the actual trading account is a serious design flaw. Blaming users for a silent backend mismatch instead of fixing it is unacceptable. Traders should know this before trusting the platform.

I appreciate the help from Josh last week—he was incredibly supportive and went above and beyond. That said, there are a few aspects of the company's recent changes that really don't sit right with me, and I'm not writing this review in hopes of getting any refunds or resets; I genuinely couldn't care less about that. This will be my last review on this company. It feels like the company is veering in the wrong direction. I get that there are growing pains with expansion, but forcing users to wait until the end of the day (EOD) to request payouts comes across as predatory—like it's designed to encourage impulsive trading and potential losses while funds are tied up. The whole point of the new dashboard was to enable faster requests and same-day fund withdrawals, especially for those who might want to reinvest or trade immediately. Now that's all changed without clear explanation, and support response times seem to be getting slower by the day. Overall, it just doesn't feel right, and I hope the team takes this feedback seriously to course-correct before losing more trust from users like me. If anything changes I will update it but until then I need to speak my mind.

I’ve been trading with Topstep for over a year, and I was one of the few traders who managed to lock in a $4.50 price for five accounts. Unfortunately, my last account was canceled without warning due to their platform change. At no point did they notify me that this was happening. I understand the price is still $4.50, but what bothers me is the lack of respect and communication. As a paying trader who has been loyal to their platform, the least they could have done was inform me before canceling my account. Situations like this make it hard to trust the service. Update after contacting support After reaching out to Topstep for clarification, I received a disappointing response. I was told there was “no one higher to speak to” and that the legacy dashboard was simply discontinued. There was no acknowledgment of the lack of communication, no accountability, and no attempt to offer a solution or even a conversation. The message essentially suggested that if I’m unhappy, I’m free to stop trading with them. For a company that promotes trader support and community, this response felt dismissive and unprofessional. As someone who has been loyal to their platform and secured a long‑term discounted rate, I expected at least a proper explanation or an effort to resolve the issue—not a generic goodbye. If you want, I can help you craft a direct reply to their email too—firm, respectful, and clear about what you expect from them.

This used to be a good firm. Stay far, far away. Even if you cancel your account, they will continue billing you unless you also cancel the billing. Now, how does a company bill for an account that doesn't exist? Don't worry, TS has figured out a way. Between this and their platform issues, I'm not sure who is still trading here.

Not been using these guys very long now but I can say that even for myself a UK based guy, the customer service is really good and we are taken care of. There has been a few technical glitches over the past weeks which has caused setbacks but the guys do come through and give out free resets when the issue is with their systems. Respect. I accidentally got charged for an account I didn’t know I had open so double charged and Neke was amazing In helping me out it was a quick response and quick fix they got me my refund the very next day Less than 24hrs! Best customer service and 100% recommend their firm to anyone looking for a prop firm. Once again, I’m up +$100 and when I close the position I’m -$100. TopStep will blame this on “connection issues” conveniently always benefiting them by losing the traders money. Never have I closed a losing position and miraculously gained money from connection issues. These people are scum. Off to another prop firm. They’ll get hit with a class action at some point guaranteed. Connection issues on an interface less complex than most iPhone games. Pathetic.
