Withdrawal is increasingly worse. Always slow speed to open and many bugs / un-needed verification in process , that we can even have a normal withdrawal
Application is easy to navigate and user friendly. They provide information on most of the stocks and are good on sending updates.
Simply the best brokers for dealing on markets worldwide. Exceptionally fair pricing in terms of commission and FX (where most brokers will sting with a vengeance). The IB platform is aimed at professionals so retail investors might struggle with the interface a little at first but perseverance will be rewarded. Occasionally I have found some very small cap AIM shares unavailable for trading but in general IB is my go to broker.

Good apps experience. There is no lagging or major issue with the interactive broker apps, the interface is great. There are even good follow up form the team to improve the apps experience.
I can do mostly everything on the website I need little support, all the reports are customizable and easy to use. When I did need to do a bespoke activity - account transfer - the staff on the phone were excellent and were able to assist, my case reference was saved so I did not have to explain the issue over and over.

For a regular trader/investor, you have everything you need. Easy to use, reliable and complete platform.
Good: Execution is good, easy and reliable, orders can be routed by choice, order fees are not high. Tax documents are not correct for every country, so expect to do it for yourself. Some chart features could be in a more precise and better readable way. Bad: Margin rates are calculated bad and not understandable. Example: A company whose market cap today is being backed 90 % by cash gets over 50 % margin rate and more, which can be problem in downtrends. It gives the impression, that IBKR takes the side of shortsellers and likes to get exactly those shares, because other much more risky companys get a 0 margin at that moment.
I tried to change my account to TOD, submitted the TOD form o n 6/12/2025 and on my inheritance page still shows pending upon approval up to today (11/6/2025). Tried to talked to the customer service 3 times and it hadn't been changed.
Flexible, easy to use trading platform with mobile app as well. Low cost commissions and market data. Easy to transfer funds to/from account. Have been a customer for over 10 years.
Everything is OK for what I need

The person who helped me with my site access problem did fine but I was not really happy that I had the problem in the first place.
I like the trading platform. It works well, and provides a lot of information on screen, without doing searches. I hate the customer service. Although, it seems to have gotten better recently. The people answering the phone rarely know the platform as well as I do. Often, I can tell they are guessing at the answers to my questions. The conversation often goes like this: Me - I've having trouble with so and so. IBKR - "You should do XYZ". Me - "No, if I do XYZ , thus and such will happen". IBKR - "Oh, you're right. You should do ABC." And then it goes on like that until I give up and try to figure it out myself. But, my biggest complain is it is often very hard to transfer money INTO IBKR. I'll submit an ACAT and it doesn't go through. The client calls their custodian and is told the ACAT was rejected by IBKR. I call IBKR and either they aren't aware of the ACAT or they say the hang up is with the outgoing custodian. Neither custodian can tell me what the actual problem is. It's infuriating. I have lost clients because we couldn't get their damn money transferred into their IBKR account. I'm having that problem right now, and the outgoing custodian is SCHWAB! How can IBKR and Schwab not know how to work together? There should be a person at IBKR that I can call and say, move this client's money to IBKR and that person will stay on task until the money is transferred. This is a IBKR system problem, not a problem with any individual employee.

IB has a great interface, good tools for option strategies and reasonable comissions
Customer service has degraded over the last 5 years. I never reach a human when calling and have to leave a message. Callbacks are unpredictable.
IB provides an exceptionally powerful trading platform, especially for investors who want to trade on local exchanges worldwide, even penny stocks! There's practically nothing that isn't available through IB. As a private investor, I value IB more than any of its competitors because the platform offers access to markets and tools that are usually reserved for professional traders!
The good : breadth of offer, reasonable fees, quality of execution The very bad : no IFU (tax form) for France The bad : no easy way to access non-UCITS ETFs for Europeans (and no providing of UCITS-equivalents for non-UCITS ETFs)
The person I talked with on the phone was kind and seemed helpful (although I was told beneficiary care would contact me very soon, and it has now been about a month, and I have heard nothing). I have no problem with the person I talked with on the phone, so I'm naming the review "estateprocessing@" since that email address is who I am reviewing. I am including the date of my first email to that department.

have been using IB for the last 5 years. The best broker for me. Very responsible and reliable. Never had any issues with selling when black swant events happened. E.g. Robinhood and a few others were not working during AMD 40% jump last month, so many people were not able to sell options immediately and lost potential gains
When I applied for an IKBR account in 2020, there were some issues with the international transfer of assets from a German bank to IBKR UK. Since then, I never had any problem. All my questions were answered in a very competent, friendly manner and in "fast mode". Kudos.

Very bad handelability, very old school interface, intense data consuming. Charting, handling orders everything on this programm is extremly bad, it does not improve if you use the TWS or desktop app or aything. The Apps need to be reinstalled many times and still have problems, where the interfaces or settings or some other important toolboxex suddenly vanish and don't come back. I recommend to not try IBKR ever, just focus on other Apps and brokers.

Most relevant information are disclosed diligently. Execution is seamless.
Platform is easy to use. Commissions are competitive and there is a wide variety of products and services available.
Excellent Trading Platform for Active Traders I really like the mobile platform — it’s clean, fast, and easy to use. The cash interest rate is one of the best out there, and for option sellers like me, it’s ideal. Margin rates are very competitive as well. With the Pro Lite plan, you get free market data, and I added a few affordable data packages to access real-time options pricing. Overall, it’s been a great trading experience.
While the tools are not the most advanced and some of the output can be a bit confusing (including weird revaluation sometimes on FX which isn't real but just seems to come back a day later) the overall interface is fine and the ease of execution and cost you pay are just excellent
