Extremely buggy software. Practically nothing works correctly. I mean it. NOTHING! Bugs are never fixed. Stay away unless you need the extensive (but buggy) functionality. I've been forced to use it for 5+ years. It destroys my day.
Not very serous company despite the awards. I was contacted by Mr Severino Silva on linkedin as Onboarding specialist at Interactive Brokers to undertsand why I was not very nice on Coinbase page. He offered to help me to recover my lost funds on Coinbase platform. I received email from support asking to pay fee. The domain did not look right. I refused to pay any funds. Than I received a message from Ms Khrystyna Shchebyvovk introducing herself as she is Business development Manager at Interactive Brokers. I checked her profile on Linkedin and her profile and expierence was even more suspicous. Clearly she was supporting Mr Severino Silva orchestrated lie. I reported it to FINRA on line, their regulator. No respond. I reported to IBKR in Uk, no name given but took lighly and informed me that it is a scam if you are not our account holder. Thought what does that mean? I replayed that your company name is used to scam others are you not intrested to look in to it? All i was given in respond that someone will get in touch with me. No one got in touch with me. I could not believe that best awarded brokers acts like this. I understood that they dont care about their customers or company reputation despite scammers are much equiped and taking over the financial institusion. I felt I wasted my time to look for their contact numbers and inform them about it. Thanks GOD I am not their customer.
The CSR was extremely helpful. However, the problems I am experiencing continue. John from Chicago was great! I had called the help line previously about technical difficulties and was completely shut down by an unhelpful ass. I was beginning to think IBKR was a scam since i could not get anything to work. I decided to try one more time before deleting my account and got John. He patiently answered all my questions and walked me through multiple issues I was having with my account and the site. Thanks so much John, you rock!

By far the most complex and inconvenient broker of all times. Don't touch this. Nothing works everything is overly complex even for the most trivial things.
Reliable and straightforward trading app. User friendly whilst still prioritizing security. Access to multiple products and countries. Highly recommend.
Absolute rubbish customer service. Complete disregard for their clients and appalling attitude towards clients. Full of non sense regulations that keep changing overtime for no reason and they do not even bother to infirm clients in anticipation - many times coming to them at a cost. Their customer service is just pathetic, with mostly amateurs answering their chat/phone. Just ignore them and go to tastytrade, where at least decent people will answer the phones. Hell, even Schwab with thinkorswim will be better than this bunch.

customer service horrible. open your account somewhere else. they put your account under review for no reason (in my case for 1.5 month), reason cited it that due to brexit transfer (9 years after the event), my account is under review. Hence i could not access/ transfer cash for 1.5 month. customer service in india and US all pointing at each other, nothing is resolved
This is super-cost efficient broker and gives retail investors access to professional financial instruments like options, corporate bonds and popular world exchanges, including Chinese, European, Japan and Singapore. Public US market became quite inefficient from the economic point of view - I can't invest based on classic theory there anymore. So international diversification and alternative instrument types are really the way to go and IB excels at it. Also I like that they provide Morningstar reports for free - these reports are very useful and objectively value the companies. I mostly agree with their valuations when I do my own due diligence, so these report kinda save time.

My only experience with this company was requesting payout of the account. My nephew handled the set up, monitoring, etc. of the account. But we actually requested closure of the account back in late August. If took almost 3 months to receive our funds. It should have taken a week. Customer service was awful with a lot of poor excuses as to the delay.
Interactive Brokers platform is FANTASTIC. Super user friendly, intuitive and low cost. The reporting system is superb. Other trading platforms should learn how to create a digital platform that has a customer at its forefront.

I contacted IB on an issue regarding my portfolio. They responded that they would get back to me in 30 days. That was in June. Still have not heard anything! Very disappointed. It's not a difficult issue. It seems to me that no one wants to tackle the issue
Since april 2024, I've been trying to get from IBIE two German Tax Voucher. After 7 months and writing numerous messages, it has been impossible to obtain one of the two german tax vouchers I requested. On the last ticket november'16, IBIE says:"..your Tax Voucher is now available to download through Client Portal....", but the system gives an error and does not allow me to download it. IBIE's excuses alleging problems with Clearstream are not valid for me because: they obtained one of the two Tax Vouchers a long time ago, and my husband already obtained the German vouchers identical to mine in September. Not obtaining the tax voucher is causing me enormous harm, as I cannot claim a refund of the excess withholding tax on dividends. Finally, I have tried (as their website says) to have the original voucher sent to me via email or post and I have not received any response regarding this. I've been with Interactive Brokers for many years, even before Brexit with IBUK. During my time with IBUK, I also requested the same tax vouchers and can attest that the service was very fast and professional. Since switching to IBIE, the customer service has been terrible, slow, and ineffective. Unfortunately, if the issue is not resolved in the next few weeks, I will be forced to file a complaint with the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman (FSPO). Yours sincerely,

Dealing with IB since more then 10 years, very satisfied with action & informations I don't remember exactly when I Started doing business with IB.

The Long put Option should be exercised. I ded not know, that I have to make final with a rightklick on the order. IB helped me and explained this to me. so I was very happy, that the order was exercised. Possibly, that the option also had exercised in the night, but so I was sure, that the exercise was successful. Thanks to IB for the quick help.
The lowest fee for transaction, all products from the whole world. I am already 10 years with IB.

The experience with IBKR has been great. Large number of ETF selection is a plus. The app platform is excellent, easy to use does everything perfectly, customer support is there.

IBKR is the best broker. It has it all. Very easy to use, very intuitive and offers a great academy for those who are starting in trading and investment. I really like it and the most important feature is that you can trust in IBKR and be tranquil.
