The company makes it easy to deposit money, but then makes the withdraw process difficult. Safer to keep your money else where

The complete inability of the IG support staff to understand the problem is astounding. All I wanted to do was transfer some shares from my mother‘s estate into my IG account and it seems as if it is impossible!

I opened my share dealing account back in July, after receiving emails with introduce a friend promotion I did so. Be warned IG have inserted a condition that you have to have your account open for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for the £100. So why email a promotion to me when I don’t qualify ?? And then send the same email a further 6 times. I am transferring my holdings to T212. I certainly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. After reading some of the posts on here If I have any problems with the transfer of my holdings I will also make a complaint to the FCA

Having stayed abroad for a few years, then deciding to move back home, the IG Client Support Services team helped me transfer my old IG trading account linked to a foreign bank, to a new IG account supported by a local bank in my current place of residence. No hassle of closing my old account, and then transferring funds to my new account. Just one smooth transaction with prompt and decisive replies from the IG Team, particularly Sharief, Ashish, Sandile, Justyna, and Jose. It amazes me that by simply conveying my IG account specifications (for example, having an account in USD instead of GBP to save on conversion costs and for transactional convenience), the IG Team could craft tailored solutions responding to my concerns. One more thing, based on my emails with the IG Team, they provide a “human voice” in our conversations instead of throwing run-of-the-mill responses. I thank the entire IG Team for the fantastic service! I dare say, unparalleled, compared to all other platforms that I have tried so far. Truly, topnotch!

I’m writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the handling of my recent account funding issue. As a long-standing user of over 15 years, I expect a higher level of service, especially when it comes to transactions involving significant amounts. I funded my account, which was acknowledged by your WhatsApp chatbot, customer service helpline, and an auto-generated email confirmation. However, my account has not been updated, and it's been over a week since the issue was escalated by your CSO. The delay has resulted in my trading positions being closed, causing significant financial losses. The lack of follow-up and communication from your team is unacceptable, especially considering the substantial amount involved (a 6-digit sum). In trading, timing is everything, and delays like this can have severe consequences.

I had a log on issue in that I was continually re-routed to the 'Your Details' page and couldn't get logged onto my account. One very quick phone call and the issue was resolved over the phone. Well done IG - great service.

Email saying this is required for all clients, KYC/AML. Asking for details of total savings including other providers. Liquid and non liquid assets in total. Total earnings with proof, all income from every source. Trading strategy, etc, very nosy and inquisitive. Have 60 days to reply or restriction action taken on account. I went to place a small trade within a month, as earning interest on uninvested cash requires at least 1 trade/month. All trading suspended without notification. IG gave misleading info of 60 days, to provide info. Complained to UK FCA, waiting to complain to Financial ombudsman. I read someone complaining IG ISA account transfer was taking weeks instead of the 28 days guidance of UK authorities. Not pleased to read about this sort of behaviour, as I have a transfer in progress.

I have just opened an ISA with IG. I found it rather confusing at first , but I feel more confident nowthat I have made three stock transactions. Whenever I was unsure or did not know how to overcome an obstacle, I reached out by WhatsApp and telephone for help, which was quickly given, enabling me to successfully complete the transaction. I am satisfied with my decision to use IG for my ISA.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLATFORM THAT IS NOW DESIGNED FOR ITS CLIENTS TO FAIL! I HAVE BEEN WITH IG MARKETS FOR SEVERAL YEARS BUT AS TIME HAS PROGRESSED, THE FEES HAVE BECOME EXTORTIONATE AND WHAT ARE YOU REWARDED WITH? TERRIBLE EXECUTIONS! IN A RECENT TRADE, MY TAKE PROFIT WAS CLEARLY TRIGGERED BUT AS PER USUAL, THEY FAILED TO EXECUTE ON IT AND AS SOON AS IT REVERSED, THE PLATFORM WAS QUICK TO EXECUTE MY STOP LOSS ITS DISGUSTING AND THEIR MOTIVATIONS ARE CLEAR! DESTROY AND RIP CLIENTS OFF! I WILL BE CLOSING ALL MY ACCOUNTS WITH THIS NOW CRAP PLATFORM

I've had some difficulties with opening my account but i was pleased with the way i was helped by customer support. They made me feel like they really wanted to help me and the problem was quickly resolved.

I have been with IG for more than 3 years ,always been a decent & fair trading platform , until now ! The fees are now obsurd , charging 13% in fees in in a week , i spole to customer Services and they sent me a list of fees as long as my arm , every day more & more fees come off your balance , i only have 1 small trade open during this time , i will be leaving

Don’t have an open trade on crypto going into the weekend as they constantly down for maintenance. Tried to close my trade for a profit but tough luck- check the terms and conditions. My profit turned into a sizeable loss. Time to change companies for me

I had multiple enquiries regarding my accounts and they were dealt with by a Mr Baranitharan Shanmugavel at I.G. He was very helpful and supportive through each stage of my enquiries, and he dealt with the issues promptly and politely!

Probably, the worst customer service ever. Sent them two emails, no replies. Looks like they just delete email inquiries and call it a day. So if you need their help... don't count on it. And their AI system is awful.

I have a CFD account with IG International (IG Group). In early Nov 2025 I requested withdrawal of my remaining balance of 49,846.48 USD. On 4 Nov IG emailed that they were “unable to return funds” and asked for a bank statement. I provided it the same day and they confirmed my bank details were verified. Since then my withdrawal is still not processed. For more than a month support keeps saying my account is “under review”, “escalated” and “prioritised”, but no clear reason or timeline. On their verified WhatsApp (IG International EN, UK number) they even wrote: “we assure you that you will receive all the funds; we are not scamming you.” Now compliance suddenly claims “error trades/arbitrage”, wants to cancel trades from 21 Oct and void rebates while still freezing my 49,846.48 USD. I have complained to IG and reported the case to regulators. For me this behaviour is unacceptable and very worrying for other clients.

Misleading customer service, I was told I was eligible for a welcome reward, the customer service team failed to contact me after they promised they would. After further contact they retracted their initial offer of the welcome offer. The platform has fees which are not clearly shown during registration and many similar platforms do not have these account fees. You also cannot buy fractional shares. There is no reason to choose IG as a platform in my eyes - hidden fees, limited trading options and misleading customer service representatives.
