ThinkMarkets customer reviews

Summary
Reviews are mixed but predominantly complain about serious withdrawal and customer-support problems: many users report delayed or frozen withdrawals, repeated requests for extra KYC after accounts were already verified, missing withdrawal codes, long waits with vague or no responses from compliance, and in several cases funds or profits allegedly withheld. Multiple customers describe sudden account terminations or profit reversals citing vague or broad T&C clauses, lack of transparent trade-level evidence, and ongoing investigations that leave deposits or profits inaccessible; some reviewers have escalated complaints to regulators (FSA, AFCA, CySEC and local authorities) or legal channels. Technical and execution issues are frequently mentioned too: platform lag, trades not opening, servers causing slippage, stuck BTCUSD executions, and email/verification glitches that generate spam or fail to deliver codes. Customer service experiences are very inconsistent—some users report rude, unhelpful or nonresponsive agents and empty reassurances, while others praise specific account managers and fast, professional support. On the positive side, many traders praise the trading platforms (ThinkTrader/TradingView integration), fast execution, tight spreads on certain accounts (ThinkZero) and useful features for scalpers; several users report smooth deposits and quick withdrawals. Overall the main risks cited are withdrawal friction, poor communication and opaque handling of disputed profits or suspicious-activity cases, while platform quality and certain staff receive positive feedback.

Attention!! I've been waiting for 2 withdrawals for 4 days, only excuses, vague responses in chat, no reply to emails, and my money is frozen. Extremely worrying, everyone should make their own assessments. Regarding the broker's response published below, I need to clarify the following: - I have been working as a trader for nearly 30 years, so I have some experience and knowledge of how this industry works. - There are always issues with payout systems and delays whenever withdrawals are involved. - To receive the withdrawal announced by the broker, I had to cancel my card withdrawal requests and adapt to the broker's preferred payout method (bank transfer). - The people answering the chat don't actually solve anything; they simply "flag" the issue—which is exactly what happens when you send an email. - They ignored my repeated emails and only replied to the last one because they were required to respond to my complaint here. - I consider it a serious lack of respect and professionalism that clients are forced to wait on the broker's schedule and accept payout methods that suit the broker's convenience. I would also add: - On several occasions, I was placed on servers that delayed trade executions, resulting in slippage that always favored the broker. If current or prospective clients are comfortable working this way—where problems arise the moment you try to withdraw your own money—then feel free to use this broker.

My experience with ThinkMarkets has been extremely disappointing. In October 2025, I opened a trading account and deposited USD 40,000. Within a few days, I generated approximately USD 73,400 in trading profits. Shortly afterwards, ThinkMarkets informed me that my profits had been reversed due to alleged breaches of their Terms and Conditions. Despite numerous requests over several months, I was never provided with detailed trade-level evidence explaining exactly which trades were problematic or how the profit reversal was calculated. After prolonged correspondence, ThinkMarkets eventually returned my original deposit of USD 40,000. However, the USD 73,400 profit remains withheld. I attempted to resolve the matter directly with the company, including proposing a commercial settlement, but did not receive a substantive response. I subsequently approached the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA). AFCA informed me that the account was operated under the Saint Lucia entity rather than the Australian entity and therefore fell outside AFCA's jurisdiction. I am now pursuing the matter with the relevant authorities in Saint Lucia. My concern is not simply the loss of profits, but the lack of transparency surrounding the decision. As a client, I believe I should be provided with clear evidence and a detailed explanation when such a significant amount is reversed. I remain open to resolving the matter professionally and would welcome a transparent explanation from ThinkMarkets. This review reflects my personal experience and the facts as I understand them.

Precise crypto entries with this broker, but btcusd asset gets stuck allot of times and they don’t seem to compensate in case of losses in such matter. Happened to me about 15 times already in 4 months (today, again btw).

Avoid this broker by all means. The biggest issue with ThinkMarkets is withdrawals. First, they verify your account quickly and mark it as fully verified. After that, you deposit money, trade, and make profits without any issue. But the moment you request a withdrawal, everything changes. There is no fast withdrawal process at all. You must fill out extra forms, and then they start asking for more and more documents — alternative ID, alternative proof of address, selfie videos, and additional verification requests. It makes no sense because the account was already fully verified before they accepted my deposit. They even rejected my ID because it was “slightly old” and expected me to go get a brand-new government-issued card just to access my own money. After waiting nearly two weeks for a single withdrawal request, they suddenly claimed I did not meet the requirements to withdraw — only after taking my deposit. A broker should not make it this difficult for clients to access their own funds. Very disappointing experience.

I’ve been with ThinkMarkets for a while and honestly my experience has been extremely dissapointing, especially this last month. My account was suddenly terminated due to “suspicious trading activity”, but I was never given any clear explanation of what rule I supposedly broke. I only received an email saying that i breached ToS and that my profits were deducted from my balance, but it was not only profits, it was also my whole deposit. I have tried contacting compliance team with multiple emails and was met with only ONE response after nearly a month stating that im still getting investigated, which is extremely frustrating. Since then: - I’ve had multiple support tickets completely ignored - Emails went unanswered for long periods - Live chat keeps saying only compliance can respond - And after more than a month I still have no final answer, nothing I’ve repeatedly asked for clarification and proof of what exactly was wrong with my trading, but I keep getting told to “wait for the investigation” with no timeframe. What makes this worse is the lack of transparency. I was just trading normally using price action on their own instruments, and then suddenly my account was flagged and terminated without any clear explanation or resolution, which is ridiculous. At this point, I don’t even know if my deposited funds will be returned or not, as nobody has given a proper final decision. I’m not saying this without patience or out of anger. I’ve waited more than a MONTH but the communication and handling of this case has been very disappointing and unclear. If someone from compliance actually reviews this properly, I would still appreciate a clear explanation and resolution, But i highly doubt i will get one. Overall, i never thought i would have to write such a review, but here we are. Customer service is awful, i feel like they used to be better before, no idea what happened to them. I recommend looking for a different broker.

I’ve experienced delayed withdrawals, platform lag, and extremely wide spreads - but what I found completely unacceptable happened last week. They deducted my profits under the pretext of a withdrawal and accused me of abusing their trading conditions. The reason? Simply because I traded during the first hour after market open, when liquidity was relatively low. Honestly, if you trade here, you’d better hope they understand your strategy. As for their regulatory terms — it feels like they treat them as nothing more than a piece of paper.

Support is virtually non-existent whether you open a support ticket or whether you call. Emails get no response and calls are not answered. Now with withdrawals: It takes days for your money to arrive into your account. It has been a week now since my latest withdrawal and nothing received yet. Other brokers I have worked with make same day payments. Not these guys. Edit: Not changing my review score after reply from ThinkMarkets because non of the issues have been resolved to satisfaction and nobody reached out after my initial review so that is a lie. Account closed with ThinkMarkets

i will be genuine. Firstly withdrawal is a nightmare with these guys. For you to make a withdrawal you have to get a withdrawal code. the withdrawal code never come when you want to withdraw a big amount. they know one way or the other you will lose before they initiate the withdrawal. These guys they dont want to pay on time . i have had more than 10 withdrawal problems , because of this frustration i ended up losing. PAY THE TRADER ON TIME

The broker’s support team is completely unresponsive. Emails are being ignored, and for the past two days the live chat agents have been giving me the same empty promise — that I will receive a response from the financial department “soon.” No response has been provided. This is absolutely unacceptable for any company operating in the financial sector. Such behavior is unprofessional, irresponsible, and deeply concerning. When a broker fails to respond to clients — especially regarding financial matters — it raises serious red flags about their reliability, transparency, and overall integrity. Delaying communication, providing empty assurances, and leaving clients without answers is not just poor service — it is a complete failure of basic professional standards. I strongly question whether this broker can be trusted at all.

Update: many thanks for your reply and apology but I won’t be having any relationship with thinkmarkets. —- Tried signing up for an account but when you come to verify your email, the email verification code never comes, then after hours I had about 200 emails. System does not work, they need to employ basic coders. When contacting customer service their answer is that it's my fault and I dont know how to write my own name. Employ basic coders, and customer service agents who know basic customer service. Essa the agent I had was unbelievably rude, accused me of not being able to write my name (email), then threatened to report me. Joke of a service, joke of a company, I wont be using. If you have a customer telling you the system isnt working right, then the system isnt working right. You dont accuse them of lying. It's absolutely basic stuff.

ThinkMarkets deducted my client’s legitimate manual trading profits (Account #159798) due to a subsequent unrelated EA activity that didn't even make a profit. They are using "Paragraph 10" as a blanket excuse to seize earned equity. I have provided clear evidence of the time gap between manual gains and the EA, but they refuse to be fair. Avoid this broker if you expect your manual profits to be protected. Formal complaint to the FSA is underway.

The platform is good for trading. However, there has been strange delays and it has been affecting everyone due to their technical issues. All the other brokers are fine and their platforms are functioning well. I love the broker and i enjoy their platform.

To be honest, your app and website are very easy to use. My account manager has always tried to help me and has been there when I needed him. But everything changes when you request to withdraw money; it's a nightmare. This kills company' s reputation. I have been forced to open a dispute 18/12/ for three withdraw not received, one of them from October. They are regulated by some authorities, my advice opens a dispute with one through one of them like for example Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) where i have opened. They sent me ARN related to the withdraw and my bank was not able to get any piece of information about the money. I,m assuming i have lost already. Two days ago, I requested to disable my account which they have done really fast but when i confirmed them i have opened a dispute they are asking me again for information about the withdraw when i have many emails from them regarding this issue. Sounds like scammers, in fact I have contacted the office of consumer in Qatar where I live to elevate the situation and operation this broker in the country. Its a pity cause being honest I really loved, spread are really good ones, application is great, but when you request a withdraw...is when everything change.

I’ve been trading with ThinkMarkets for a bit now, and it’s been smooth overall. The app is straightforward, and I like how fast trades execute. It feels like a platform built with traders in mind, not just another brokerage.

If you love yourself, stay clear of these broker. After withdrawing in my trading account before, want to place my second withdrawal, they started asking for unnecessary documents again after my account has been verified already and they hold my withdrawal for more than a week. They are fraudulent

Started trading with think markets and i honestly couldn’t complain about anything. Transactions are carried out seamlessly, what you see is what you get. Their customer service is phenomenal (speaking about my agent Aleks Belyov specifically). I have never been contacted before just “checking in” which to me was very refreshing. Keep it up Aleks! And thank you.

This is an Honest Review, I have traded with this company for over 5 years . The support is ok the trading platform is good , the execution is Ok . The Swaps are Very bad and to expensive. The Biggest problem for this Company is the Withdrawal. It’s very difficult and there always a problem when you want your money . There system are slow so withdrawal are alway very Delayed and your constantly contacting Customers Service who try to help but it’s still ends up a Very Very Long winded Process. I am Now looking for another Provider!!!! I have Given Think markets so many chances . It’s Best to Avoid this company .
