Summary
Exodus wallet receives highly mixed reviews. Many users praise its sleek interface, strong security, easy integration with hardware wallets like Trezor, and responsive, caring support team members who guided them patiently through complex recovery and technical issues. Several agents, such as Jean, Peter, Tim, James, and Charles, are commended for their professionalism and personal assistance, which earned users’ trust and loyalty. However, numerous others report slow or unhelpful customer service, often being passed between agents without resolution, leading to unresolved losses and frustration. Some users complain about missing or locked funds, inaccurate crypto prices, unclear network fee requirements, and failed swaps due to network or API issues, which resulted in financial losses. A few extreme cases describe lost or stolen funds and accuse Exodus of negligence or fraudulent behavior. Overall, users find Exodus intuitive and reliable when functioning properly, but its support quality and transaction reliability vary widely, leaving part of the user base highly dissatisfied.

Once I got past the AI Support assistant to a human assistant, the support was excellent. Prompt, helpful and responsive.

I went through several Crypto wallets that was very frustrating to use and was just all around laggy. I FINALLY found the one with the Exodus Wallet! If you are like me and just want a safe, simple but yet very powerful experience in a Crypto Wallet look no further. I highly Recommend this Wallet to anyone! Not just experienced users but the brand new users as well! 5* 🤘✊✌️

1-Star Review: Extremely Disappointing Experience with Exodus Wallet – Avoid for Any Significant Transactions After using Exodus reliably for several years as my primary self-custodial wallet, I recently encountered severe issues that have completely eroded my trust in the platform. During a routine swap (facilitated through their integrated third-party partners), my funds were processed but never delivered to my wallet. Despite multiple detailed follow-ups with support—including transaction IDs, timestamps, and screenshots—the response has been inadequate: long delays, repeated requests for the same information, redirection to third parties, and eventual radio silence. Funds that should have been returned or resolved within days remain inaccessible after weeks of waiting. This is not an isolated incident. Numerous other users have reported similar problems with stuck or “lost” funds during in-app exchanges, high effective fees on failed transactions, and a lack of meaningful recourse. Support claims 24/7 availability, but in practice, it feels unresponsive and offshore-routed, offering little accountability. As a non-custodial wallet, Exodus emphasizes user responsibility for security—which is fair—but when the built-in features (swaps, bridges) fail and lead to permanent loss of access to assets, the platform must provide robust resolution mechanisms. Instead, users are left to bear the full financial burden. I strongly advise against using Exodus for any meaningful volume of crypto, especially swaps or conversions. Stick to direct blockchain transfers or hardware wallets for cold storage. The sleek interface and multi-asset support are no longer worth the risk of potential fund mishandling and poor customer service. If you’re experiencing similar issues, document everything and consider consulting legal or regulatory options in your jurisdiction. Unfortunately, this once-promising wallet has become unreliable in 2026.

I had a problem with a deposit from a wallet of mine. It took many emails and several days to solve the problems but it was solved and with professionalism. What I would underline: - Big focus on security and risk management in their approach, which resulted in a longer time to solve things but that I personally appreciate a lot, give confidence for my money with them and transactions - All steps and actions to take were illustrated with links and videos, very pedagogical - I dealt with three different representatives for the same problem/thread and each time someone was "new" he had read all the previous messages and I didn't have to repeat myself and there was no imprecisions

The team at Exodus are the absolute best. I had a query and they were very helpful in helping me solve it. On top of that they gave me a gift card for the trouble. Super nice and I highly recommend the platform to everyone.

I had trouble swapping today. 5 - 6 attempts and I did the Refresh a couple of times and got it. Not so much today but in the past I was told "Refresh" if issues came up. I emailed Support but got the Swap done before I got a response back today. Mission accomplished!

I've always found Exodus support to be excellent, they reply quickly and most of the time their advice is exactly what's needed to fix the problem. If not, a quick follow-up email then leads to the right solution. I've had an Exodus wallet for several years and can highly recommend it to anyone who uses crypto.

Recommendation: If the version is too old (I opened Exodus >2 years ago) the error message could be more precise: Pls load new version from site xxxxx. The URL should be hard coded in the message to establish the right download source. The answer for problems was fast and satisfying. Good Job.

exodus officially allows scammers like xmproglobal com/xmprow com. to use their wallet to run platform. When I had email communication with exodus and claiming their platform is the best, safe and secure wallet. How come these kind of scammers allowed and using this exodus wallet/web3 and make people get scammed. To me look like exodus also involve with the scammers and exodus equally involve in this scam and both are making money from innocent people. Request to Exodus wallet-If you can not control scammers pls shutdown your wallet? If you can not do that, its likely that your wallet also promoting this scammers.I already contacted Exodus support-but the answer is extrimely poor.People investing based on the creditability of the wallet but when Exodus support and their investigation team is giving poor answer and show their miserable attitude-here I can say dont invest through exodus because if something happen their answer is not going to be in your favour and their standadrd answer is " Please keep in mind that Exodus is a self-custodial wallet, which means we don't have access to or insight into user funds or transactions.". so I request before you use exodus wallet think 100000000 times.

I had an experience where my Exodus wallet recovery phrases were compromised (given by me to a scammer). I notified Exodus customer support and my fiat exchange customer support immediately. I also sent the wallet status email to Exodus. Their customer support people provided links to government law providers and even crypto forensic investigators. Their review of the wallet status email showed that one of my major cryptos was not taken after all, but was instead on an old blockchain and could be recovered. One support person set up a zoom call to help me do that and then for a couple of weeks after that made sure that the provider of that crypto followed through on the recovery. I was amazed and very grateful for this above and beyond level of support. There is way more to this story. All I can say is that Exodus was there every step of the way for over a month. They really did not have to do this but they did and I will be forever grateful. Bottom line I recovered about 75% of the lost funds. What I learned: 1. Customer support from the exchanges will never call; if they do hang up; 2. Your account information on the fiat exchange is not absolutely safe; do not assume that if someone has that, that they are employees of the exchange; and most importantly, 3. NEVER, EVER give out your wallets recovery phrases. In spite of the fact that it was my fault that the scammer was able to drain my wallet, Exodus support was there with suggestions and when appropriate, warnings regarding follow up scams. I have been using Exodus as my desktop wallet for 8 years and been very happy with its growth in functionality. When the time came to help me out, they were there in a big way.

Overall, this is an excellent app for beginners thanks to its intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface. While it takes some time to grasp the nuances of minimum requirements, spreads, and fee differences across assets, the learning curve is manageable. My main concern, however, lies with the desktop wallet’s security: it relies solely on a password for account access. This approach leaves users vulnerable to remote attacks through keyloggers or similar threats. To strengthen protection, the wallet should incorporate local biometric authentication or smart wallet passkey support, ensuring a more robust safeguard against unauthorized access. It also would be great if it required a biometric fingerprint approval before you can send money from the mobile wallet, like the Coinbase wallet.

So called wallet seemed secure until I had two unauthorized transactions! I can't trust it anymore. Seemed so secure, even for me to get into until I had been robbed from it twice! Can't trust this wallet!
