How do industry experts start their own companies?

The competition in the CFD industry is huge. Though we witness more and more new companies in the market. We were lucky to have an interview with Benjamin Boulter, the Founder and CEO of TabTrade - recently launched broker with several regulations and great trading conditions.
Let’s start with the advice to beginners in trading from Benjamin:
“Keep things simple. If you have to convince yourself that a decision is the right one, then it probably isn't. Go with your instinct but make sure you always, always manage your risk. Focus on understanding risk properly, managing position size, and being consistent. Most of your learning comes from experience over time.”
Benjamin started his career as part of the original team at Pepperstone in its early days - “There were around a dozen of us, so it was a small, fast-moving environment where everyone was close to the product, the clients, and the full scope of operations. That exposure gave me a very practical understanding of how brokerage businesses actually function.”
How do you see the change of the industry since when you started till now?
The industry has evolved significantly from both a technological and regulatory perspective. Infrastructure has improved, platform functionality is more advanced, and market access has become more competitive. At the same time, the overall experience has often become more complex, and client expectations have shifted considerably. Many brokers have added layers over time, which can make navigation harder. Simplicity has become less common, not more.
What is your forecast for the industry's future?
I think we’ll see a shift back toward fundamentals. The core revenue drivers and the features that clients actually value. Brokers have become fixated on aspects like execution speed or marginal performance improvements that most clients don’t prioritise. Automation and AI will continue to improve operational efficiency, but the real differentiation will come from how simple and effective the overall experience is. Trust is also evolving. The market is focusing less on regulatory labels and more on how businesses actually operate, and on the people behind them publicly attaching their names to what they build.
TabTrade and its conditions for traders
In TabTrade the core idea of the brand is Simplicity. Everything is built around the idea that markets should be simple, and that the infrastructure supporting them should be efficient, transparent, and easy to use.

Tell us more about TabTrade. How did you come up with the idea?
TabTrade was built on a simple observation. Over time, the industry has become more complex, both from a product and user experience perspective. The idea was to strip that back. A broker focused on clarity, strong infrastructure, good customer experience, and making markets more accessible without unnecessary complication. We’re focused on improving the trading experience itself rather than spending resources on things that don’t add direct value to clients.
Why should traders choose TabTrade?
We focus on executing the fundamentals well. A clean, efficient, no-nonsense client experience. Our onboarding is fully automated, allowing clients to get set up and start trading in as quickly as 4 minutes, while still having access to 24/7 support and our dedicated account management team. Few brokers actually offer this, even if they claim they do. We combine strong execution, competitive pricing, reliable infrastructure, and a streamlined user experience. The goal is to remove friction and allow traders to focus on the markets.
What is the highest leverage allowed?
Up to 1:1000, depending on the account type and jurisdiction.
Which unique conditions or features does TabTrade offer?
We offer zero average spreads on select accounts, low-latency execution via Equinix LD5, and a streamlined onboarding process designed to get clients trading quickly. The broader focus is on building a system that is efficient and scalable rather than adding unnecessary features.

Do you allow automated trading?
Yes. We fully support automated trading, including Expert Advisors on MetaTrader 5, as well as API-based strategies.
Partnership opportunities in TabTrade
We offer both revenue share and CPA-based partnerships, along with long-term incentive structures for partners who generate consistent volume. The program is designed to be transparent and scalable for both new and experienced partners.
About Benjamin
Being an entrepreneur Benjamin enjoys building businesses and solving problems at scale: “There’s something very rewarding about creating systems that people use every day and continuously improving them based on real-world feedback. I’ve been in this industry for a long time and have seen it evolve closely. It’s also rewarding to see the impact and longevity of businesses I’ve previously been involved in.”
Obviously, Benjamin trades himself. And as he says he is primarily focusing on gold at the moment, like everyone else. Also he has a diversified portfolio and some good people he trusts looking after it.
And our last question was about inspiration. Who or what is your inspiration? Here is the answer:
“I tend to focus more on the process than any individual. Consistently building, improving, and learning over time is what drives long-term results. On a personal level, it’s about creating something meaningful while still having the time to spend with family.”
We wish a lot of success to Benjamin and his newly built company TabTrade, and invite traders to use this opportunity!
