About WELLS TRADER
Wells Trader (operating via the domain wellstrader.com) is not authorised by any recognised financial regulator to provide investment services in Spain or the European Union. The Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) issued a public warning on 4 September 2023 stating that Wells Trader is not authorised to provide the investment services and activities restricted under Spanish law, including foreign currency transactions, and specifically named the domain wellstrader.com in that resolution.
The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) of Belgium also added Wells Trader to its warning list on 14 March 2024, identifying it as a fraudulent trading platform.
The website wellstrader.com has been found to be unregulated, with no evidence of licensing by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) or any other regulator. The firm fails to disclose any regulatory oversight or licence numbers. Evaluations from monitoring services note that the site operated from Switzerland (allegedly via Mount Nico Corp Ltd, with an address in Lucerne), but lacks any registration in official regulatory registers. Moreover, as of 26 January 2026, the website was reported to be offline.
