SCAM...Smart Markets.FM!!! Listed below are the "facts" that a friend experienced... March 2023 Initial contact with Smart Markets.FM was John M. May 2023 to September 2023 Portfolio got moved to Daniel R, Senior Account Manager, Financial Advisor • Victim delayed contacting Smart Markets.FM until May---was busy with work. • Made initial/small investment. • Had “weekly” telephone conversations with Daniel; e.g. how the market is going, how investment is growing, etc. • Tried a test run on how to withdraw a “small” amount of funds. • Got convinced to invest a large sum of money in July. • AFTER the large investment, Daniel mentioned he got transferred to another position/area…next? September 2023 Portfolio got transferred to Joseph M, Senior Account Manager, Financial Advisor. • Did not receive contact from Joseph for a while; whereas, Daniel called “every” week---until large investment was made. • Victim got information/inquiries from his bank and so---decided to make a withdraw from Smart Markets. • Victim was told by Joseph that he would have to pay a large sum for “tax” purposes on the withdraw, because of the Swiss Laws. Victim’s monies could not be released until the taxes were paid in full. Tried to reduce the withdraw amount of funds (e.g. to pay less “taxes” and to also see if he could get at least some monies back)---NO LUCK, NO CONTACT, NO ACCOUNT ACCESS, etc. • Note victim did not have and/or was ever given telephone contact numbers for Smart Markets members. o Victim was naïve and too trusting. • Found out later that the phone number Joseph was calling from was NOT a Swiss number but instead was from Quebec (Canada)---area code 418. October 2023 • NO contact to date from Smart Markets.FM---would be a GREAT story/episode for Fifth Estate. • Considering on logging a complaint with Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. #FifthEstate #FraudReportingSystem As mentioned in previous (honest) reviews, GOOD LUCK withdrawing "your" money!!!
I have been with cfd.smartmarkets for 2 months and they did help build a portfolio. They kept asking for more and more money and I finally said no. Guess what? Tried to withdraw my money and couldn't get it out. Now the website is no where to be found. Be careful this is a scam!!
