About First Capitals
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued a warning on 29 January 2024 identifying First Capitals, operating via the domain firstcapitals.com, as a clone firm impersonating an FCA-authorised entity, FIRST CAPITAL CONSULTANTS LIMITED (FRN 713478). The clone uses falsified contact details, including addresses in Malaysia, UAE, South Africa, Mauritius, Switzerland, and India, and unverified email addresses. There is no authorisation from the FCA for First Capitals, and it is confirmed to have no legitimate regulatory status.
Investigations found that First Capitals falsely claims regulation by CySEC and FSCA. No records in the CySEC register match these claims. A supposed FSCA-registered entity with registration number 47710 exists but under a different company name, and its license is marked βwithdrawn.β These claims are misleading and unsubstantiated.
Pros and cons
Cons
- Unregulated and operating as a clone firm under false pretences
- Falsified regulatory claims regarding CySEC and FSCA, with no verifiable licences
- No access to customer protections, such as the UK Financial Ombudsman Service or FSCS
