BlocksBrokers’ website states that it offers CFD trading on forex, energy, stocks, cryptocurrencies, soft commodities, precious metals and other instruments. The site lists Android, iPhone, tablet and web access, a minimum deposit of $250, leverage of up to 200:1 and 0% commission. It also advertises 16,000 assets, trading in 120+ countries and a 7.2% interest rate on account balances.
The website identifies the operator as MCG MARKETING LTD and cites UK company number 12825536. Companies House records MCG MARKETING LTD under that number but show the company status as “Liquidation” and a registered office at 8 Fusion Court, Aberford Road, Leeds, LS25 2GH. The website instead gives Suite 10 Mawtec House, New Street, Mawdesley, Ormskirk, Lancashire, L40 2QP, and states that the company is authorised by the UK government; the FCA warning takes priority and states that MCG Marketing LTD / BlocksBrokers is not authorised by the FCA and may be providing or promoting financial services without permission.
The FCA warning, first published on 8 April 2025, names MCG Marketing LTD / BlocksBrokers and the domain www.blocksbrokers.com as an unauthorised firm. The FCA states that clients dealing with the firm would not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or protection under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. The Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets separately warned on 10 April 2025 against MCG Marketing LTD / BlocksBrokers; an associated regulator notice describes MGC MARKETING LLC h.o.d.n. BlocksBrokers as a suspected boiler room and states that it did not hold an AFM licence or a European Passport.
