"I’m writing this out of pure frustration. I’ve been trading with AvaTrade for a long time. In August 2022, I was doing great, made $40k profit. Then the 'traps' started. On Aug 31, 2022, my MT4 crashed . I emailed my account manager, and on Sept 1st he called me to 'fix' it. After the update he pushed, the default lot size was secretly changed to a massive 5% of my equity. One single click on Sept 7th wiped out $91,000 of my money. It was a setup, plain and simple. Fast forward to this month, Jan 2025/2026. Same technical nonsense. I was trying to save a Gold position and tried to deposit $2,900. The system kept failing (3DS errors) even though my bank in Qatar approved the money. I had to make 5 small deposits just to get anything through. By the time they finally credited my last $525, they had already closed my trades (Stop Out) just 6 minutes earlier! My manager and the support team are now ignoring me or giving me excuses about 'fraud filters' on a card they already took $3,000 from. They refuse to give me my own server logs because they know it shows their system lag. I’ve already filed a formal complaint with the B.V.I FSC and I won’t stop until this is public. If you’re making money, they will find a 'technical' way to take it back. Warning: "Middle east and GCC traders , stay away".

After a possible mistake while making an online withdrawal request of 300 euro, I have spoken online to many agents of Avatrade to try solve this, but they do not assist me, on the contrary, I am not given a second chance to withdraw or given an explanation on why my request does not work. They do not give an explanation or take any responsibility. They now even say I should go to the local police, because they suspect I am criminal, which I am obviously not. I might go to the police, but only to report the theft of 300 euro by Avatrade. Most of their Eastern European agents that I spoke in the chat are stupid. The guy that phoned me twice when I applied for an account, called T.T., suddenly is now deadquiet. So I am stale mate.

The use of the Demo accounts has been extremely useful whilst I am still learning. I have made 2 or 3 (small) deposits into my Real account, which unfortunately has not gone well yet, I am more confident now and will be doing my next deposit into my Real account shortly. The Customer Service is very quick and helpful so thank you for that.
