About Nine Stars Futures
PT. Nine Stars Futures (NSF) held regulatory licences from BAPPEBTI (Indonesia Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency) under No. 918/BAPPEBTI/SI/8/2006, BBJ (Jakarta Futures Exchange) under No. SPAB‑126/BBJ/05/05, and KBI (Indonesian Derivatives Clearing House) under No. 65/AK‑KBI/XII/2008, and claimed to offer markets including forex, gold, commodities, and indices, with platform MetaTrader 4 (PC, Android, iOS), fixed spreads, leverage up to 1:100, ECN/STP account type, minimum lot 0.1, segregated client accounts, hedging allowed, market execution, commissions applied, local bank deposit/withdrawal options, and “One Day Service” fund withdrawal. Regulations and licences were revoked by BAPPEBTI as of January 23, 2025, rendering the firm unauthorized to operate.
Despite its initial legal status, NSF was later included in BAPPEBTI’s list of 40 futures brokers whose licences had been revoked as of September 18, 2024. As of that listing, NSF is not permitted to offer futures or forex trading services in Indonesia.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Previously regulated by BAPPEBTI, BBJ, and KBI, offering initial oversight and client fund segregation.
- Provided MT4 platform, fixed spreads, leverage up to 1:100, ECN/STP model, hedging allowed, and “One Day Service” withdrawals.
Cons
- BAPPEBTI revoked the broker’s operating licence, rendering all operations unauthorized from at least January 2025.
- Revocation places the broker in a high-risk category; client protection mechanisms under regulation are no longer applicable.
