About GCI
According to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), an entity using the name “GCI Financial” and the website gcitrading.com has been flagged as an unauthorised firm. The FCA notice warns that this company is offering financial services in the UK without authorisation. The regulator emphasises that the unauthorised entity has no connection to any FCA-authorised firm and that UK consumers will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme when dealing with it.
The Italian securities regulator CONSOB has also issued a resolution (No. 21586 of 04/04/2022) ordering the blocking of the website gcitrading.com for illegally offering investment services in Italy. This administrative measure was taken within CONSOB’s powers to protect investors from unlicensed online brokers.
